Activities
There are many activities you can join which are hosted by Langtoun Central Church in our various halls. You can read about them below, check the next event in our calendar or visit our friendly café’s.
Bennochy Community Choir

The Bennochy Community Choir has been active for many years and has over 60 members from the town and local area.
Bible Study Group
The Bible Study Group has been running since 1996 or ’97 (originally on Wednesdays) and although we have only 11 members at present, before Covid, and the more recent “uncertainties”, we had over 20.

Brownies & Girl Guides
The Girl Guide organisations are multi-faith and offer fun activities for girls from ages 5 to 25! The groups meet weekly during school terms and have a full itinerary of exciting things to take part in.

Carpet Bowling
The Bowling Club play indoor carpet bowls all year round.

Country Dancing
The Country Dancing group offers training and dancing sessions in Scottish Country Dancing.

Craft Group
The Craft Group meets weekly and enjoys knitting, crocheting and card making. We also enjoy supporting big events at Easter and Christmas.

DRU Yoga Classes
The Dru Yoga group offers classes for all abilities in a rich supportive atmosphere where you are encouraged to practice your yoga in a way that’s just right, just for you.

Exercise Classes
Tai Chi Class: An art embracing the mind, body and spirit – Originating in ancient China, Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body. Although an art with great depth of knowledge and skill, it can be easy to learn and soon delivers its health benefits. For many, it continues as a lifetime journey.
Zumba Gold class: This class is perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified routine that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. The class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance!

Friendship Group
The Friendship group meets every 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month at the St Bryce Centre at 1.30pm. Games, crafts, fun, chat, friendship, tea and biscuits are always available. If there is a fifth Tuesday in the month, a movie will be shown.

Girls Allowed
Girls Allowed is a group of ‘girls’ of any age, who meet in St Bryce Centre on the first Friday of the month at 7pm. There is a varied programme from Craft to Bingo to Film and Fish Supper and always chat. There is a meeting charge of £3 per person to cover wine, non-alcoholic drinks and nibbles, which are always available. All ‘grown-up girls’ are welcome!

Guild
The Langtoun Central Church Guild welcomes both men and women and hosts many activities over the year. There is music, interesting talks, bring & buy sales, coffee mornings, games and even a quiz night! We meet every two weeks between September and May. Read our 2025/26 Syllabus.

Handbell Ringers
The Handbell Ringing Group welcomes anyone interested in the ringing of the bells. Prior experience not required! We enjoy a wide repertoire of music from classical, folk, swing, hymns and all. New members always welcome.

Sole to Soul
The Sole to Soul Walking Group welcomes all for some selected short walks around interesting locations. Most will start on Sundays after the Church service but there will be some mid-week as well. Weekday walks will take place every 5/6 weeks and will generally be much shorter than on Sundays. Please pass your name to Dianne Waddell if you’d like to take part and she will furnish you with details.

Women’s Group
The Women’s Group invites new members who are always welcome to join the group or to come along to our special events.
Past activities have included:
