Handbell Ringers

The Handbell Ringing Group welcomes anyone interested in the ringing of the bells. Prior experience not required!

The ‘Bells’ meet on Tuesdays at 2.30pm in the Bennochy building’s Elgin Room.

We enjoy a wide repertoire of music from classical, folk, swing, hymns and all.

We play with a reduced set – 2 1/2 octaves, fully repaired and fit for use. During the Christmas season, familiar carols are on the agenda when we have played at Church services and in residential homes nearby.

New members always welcome – it’s always entertaining and a challenging experience.

Margaret Simpson has compiled a History of the Handbells document covering their origins as part of the Boys’ Brigade to the present day group.
