FFP Community News Post 29th January 2026
Last Sunday Eileen began by asking how we like our tea! Some like it to be weak, some strong, some sweet, etc But if the question had been how do we like our faith – we would all hope to say ‘strong’! Then using Paul’s first letter to the people of Corinth, she asked us to think about how our opinions are often divided when our faith is challenged – some will opt to stay, some to go – but the challenge is always to serve and follow. We are part of God’s plan for our church, she urged, and we are called to stay and do the job together. If you missed being at last Sunday’s service, you can still access the recording on our website langtouncentralchurch.org.uk. Sunday’s messages led firmly on to our Congregational meeting on Saturday 31 January at 10 a.m. when we will look at our congregational aims and objectives for the next three years of the transition ministry.
Eileen will lead our service again this coming Sunday (1st Feb). There will be activities for Young Church, and those wishing to sing with the choir should meet with Richard Michael at 10 a.m. Eileen invites each of us, between now and Easter to tell her our favourite hymns. She used another four choices last Sunday which fitted in with her message. So do look for the slips of paper as you come in to the services and let her have your thoughts.
