Original Church Building

The African Childrens Choir

Pictures from the visit of the The African Childrens Choir in July 2008.
The energetic dancing is accompanied by the sound of the drums.
Acting out the stories in the music is a key part of the performance.
Each child gets their chance to shine.

Not all songs are sung at a high tempo. Here the children perform a more mellow number.

Memorabilia Exhibition

Visitors enjoying the Exhibition in August 2008 – and looking for themselves in the pictures!
Many pictures were on display from the organisations including the Boys Brigade, Girl Guides and Brownies.
Much work was put into presenting the large number of stories and pictures. Visitors followed a timeline around the hall walls with pictures from the organisations shown in the central displays.

The 1970s

To raise funds for the new Church building, 87 walkers marched 20 miles (16 laps) of Beveridge Park. Members of the congregation and all organisations took part (Sep 1975)
After a fun Treasure Hunt to raise funds for the new Church building, the North Primary, with help from Torbain School, present a cheque to Rev. McNaught (Sep 1975)
St. Johns BB won the juvenile five-a-side football league held at Balwearie Centre. Mr Tom Breen presents the Engravia Shield to Ian Norval, team captain. Team members are Douglas Morton, David Morton, Tom Brown, Ian Low and Colin Seath (1975)

Boys’ Brigade 125th Service
